Will Charlotte escape?

Key

      Charlotte's narrative

At the very top of the darkest, deserted tower, there was silence in the lonely lumber room. All except for a sad sobbing sound in a dusty corner. Unhappily, Charlotte shuffled slowly towards the untouched bowl of thick hot soup and peered over the edge. It looked most unappetising. Big crystal tears fell from her twinkling sapphire eyes and slithered down her face as she stirred the soup.

Clink! A shiver went down scared Charlotte's spine. Her tears rolled into the unpleasant soup and something shined in it. Charlotte gasped and stared at the soup. Something was in it for sure. Stunned, Charlotte picked up her spoon and fished the object out of her thick and now lukewarm soup.

I was astonished to see that the strange, mysterious object was a key. At first I hesitated, not knowing what to do with it, but then I realised Hildi must have put it there. That's what must have caused all the commotion downstairs. Hildi must have been fired. As I slowly turned the rusty key in the lock, I thought of where she could of gone. Maybe the deserted mountain hut ... no, no, no, she must have gone to The Jolly Huntsman. I silently crept to my room, packed a few things and of I went to The Jolly Huntsman.
